The 2011 Ron Barassi Memorial Debate
We are delighted to invite you to arguably Hobart's best fundraising breakfast, The Ron Barassi Snr Memorial Debate. Last year we raised almost $10,000, which goes directly to disadvantaged children to participate in sport. This year we hope to beat that amount.
With debate still lively about when we will get our own team in the AFL, we thought we should keep it on the front-burner, so in this year's debate we are going to answer the question "Who really killed Tasmania's AFL Dream", with some of our old mates John Elliott, Drew Mophett and Tim Cox being joined by some first timers: Bob Cheek and Tony Benneworth.
As always we can guarantee a lively and potentially crazy debate.
